Effective date: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of seoulclosingbell.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
Seoul Closing Bell is an independent publication operated by an individual in Seoul, Republic of Korea. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Korea Exchange (KRX), the Financial Supervisory Service, any listed company, any brokerage, or any government body. References to companies, tickers, or indices are editorial references only.
2. No investment advice
This is the most important term on this page.
Everything on the Site — briefings, figures, charts, commentary, and any data we compile — is published for general informational purposes only. It is not investment advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any security or financial instrument, and it is not tailored to your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance.
We are not a licensed investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution under the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act of the Republic of Korea or under the laws of any other jurisdiction. Nothing here should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.
You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and for any resulting gains or losses. Past market behaviour does not predict future results.
3. Accuracy, sources, and corrections
Market figures on the Site are compiled from public sources and from our own data pipeline. We take reasonable care, but data may be delayed, incomplete, revised by its original source, or simply wrong. Figures are published as of the time stated and are not updated continuously.
The Site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
If you believe we have published an error, please tell us — see Contact. Include the article link and the source you are relying on, and we will review it.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Seoul Closing Bell and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment loss, arising out of your access to, use of, or reliance on the Site or its contents.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
5. Intellectual property
All articles, analysis, charts, and original data compilations on the Site are © Seoul Closing Bell unless otherwise stated.
You may quote a short excerpt — up to roughly 150 words — for commentary, review, or news reporting, provided you attribute it to Seoul Closing Bell and include a link to the original article.
You may not republish articles in whole or in substantial part, systematically scrape or harvest the Site by automated means, or use the Site’s contents to train, fine-tune, or ground a machine-learning or generative AI system, without our prior written permission.
6. Comments and submissions
Where comments are enabled, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, misleading, infringing, or promotional. Do not post trading solicitations, pump-and-dump material, or content presented as professional financial advice.
By submitting a comment you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, retain, and moderate it on the Site. We may edit, refuse, or remove any comment at our discretion, and we are not obliged to explain why. Comments express the views of the person who posted them, not ours.
7. Advertising and third-party links
The Site carries third-party advertising and may link to third-party websites. We do not control advertisers or linked sites and do not endorse their products, services, or content. Any dealing you have with them is between you and them. How advertising affects your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
We publish on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available without interruption, that publication will occur on any particular schedule, or that archived content will remain accessible. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a revision means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them shall be submitted to the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance, unless applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms: [email protected], or see our Contact page. We aim to reply within 2–3 business days (Korea time, UTC+9).
